Neutral Fall Centerpiece

Decor, Fall, Holidays

With all the election drama, I know what you’re thinking: I need a fall centerpiece to brighten my day! Kidding. But really, I put together a neutral centerpiece that is an easy and fun idea for Thanksgiving. It’s a box full of a few of my favorite fall things, and here’s how I filled it.

Start with a box. I got mine on Jane.com, but they are easy to DIY. Check out my DIY wood caddy for homework supplies to get a tutorial.

For the filler, I pulled a lot of my fall stuff that I had lying around, and I started with more than I needed. Just shop your house and see what you have before heading to the store. If you do go, a lot of my filler is from Michaels (and on clearance), and those are real white pumpkins (my fave).

And then I layered…

I started with candles since those are the tallest element, and then I filled in around the candles with smaller pumpkins and filler (in threes) and then added some magnolia leaves for some greenery.

Then I added in some smaller leaves, and then gave some height to the white pumpkins by putting them on top of the votive candle holders.

Finally, I added in a string of lights (Target Dollar Spot) around the edges for some twinkle light.

Then I layered some round mats (love anything with ruffles!) from Michaels underneath. Those were 70 percent off last week.

And that’s it! Some neutral decor for your Thanksgiving table.

Oh, I forgot to mention those little glitter acorns (also from Michaels) I threw in – aren’t they cute?

Still loving my new dining room chandelier!

Stay tuned, tomorrow I will be posting a few more pics of this centerpiece with another runner option, and you can tell me which one you like better!
