Nursery DIY: Collage Wall

Baby & Kids Rooms, DIY, Room Design

I’m a sucker for a good collage. They can be a pain to organize and get just right, but it’s worth it.

I don’t really have a set process for organizing them. For this one, I bought some frames at Hobby Lobby, along with a mirror from Home Goods, and then tried different variations on the floor until it felt right. If a design isn’t working out, I will often let it sit for a couple days and then come back to it.

You can see the left corner that one frame didn’t work in the collage so I made that one a barrette holder instead.
The cross was a shower gift. I started with that in the center because of the significance, and it made sense design-wise because it’s smaller and hanging from a ribbon.
This one I DIYed from shower decor and leftover tulle. My next post will include the tutorial. 🙂
These are newborn pics and the cupcake from her gender reveal. That little pink cupcake was so special so I had to include it. Such a fun surprise, and I felt a little closer to her that day. Her first birthday will have some sort of cupcake theme as well.
I purposely bought her newborn pic accessories to match her room, hence the mint green tutu.
The collage was the same size and competing with some artwork right next to it on the same wall, so I added this piece that I found on Zulily to make it taller. This will make more sense when I post the nursery reveal photos. 😉

If you like collages, here is a full length wall collage in our hallway that I finished last year. I call it the “love” wall.
Getting pretty close to the big nursery reveal! Only one more post (tomorrow) and then I will share the entire room.
