I’ve dreamed of decorating a girl nursery and was excited to start Baby Girl’s, but it was still a little sad to take down Curious George so I decided to memorialize it before I post phase one of the new nursery.
We had two versions of this nursery because we moved when Monkey was a baby. I spent more time on version one.
Most of the decor is from Pottery Barn, but my cousin had that cute little chair custom made, and it’s now in his new room so a little bit of his Curious George nursery will always be around.
Putting up the chair rail and painting the walls and letters was the extent of my DIY back then. He wasn’t too happy about this photo shoot for some reason.
My dad made the corner shelf for the monitor and my sister painted Curious George’s beach ball.
And then we moved and I didn’t have time to recreate everything. At least the decals survived.
Sometimes you just have to use a random table for books.
My sister was nice enough to paint another beach ball when she came to visit.
This was from his first birthday and I had a hard time putting it away so I put it up above his closet. Now I will transfer it to his baby book, which is good because I haven’t printed many photos.
Even though he still seems like my baby boy, he was ready to move into a big boy room with brother. It was quite exciting for them both for a couple months, but they are starting to settle down. 😉
