I love any excuse to host a tea party so I invited a couple gal pals over for a Galentine’s Day tea! It was so nice to get some quality time with friends, and some tea and treats!
Since it was midweek, I tried to keep it simple and used what I had around the house. I had some blush heart plates from Home Goods, so I went with a blush and white theme. I set the table the night before and used some blush scrapbook paper for placements and the “runner” (I wasn’t happy with any of my real runners). Along with the heart plates, I used tea cups from my collection (I collect them when I travel), and some gnash bowls for fruit and individual condiment holders for the jam and clotted cream.
It got this gold silverware for Thanksgiving last year and love it.
I used blush and white roses, but also added some darker pinks for a pop of color. I always love putting flowers in pitchers, especially for tea parties.
I also kept it simple with the food and used a lemon scone box mix (with jam and clotted cream), store-bought tea cookies, and some berries. And since it was Valentine’s Day, I had to add some chocolate-covered strawberries! And, of course, the tea. I prefer black teas, but went with green and mint teas since they are a little healthier and pair well with the lemon scones.
I found these little favors on Amazon, aren’t they cute? I couldn’t find the link though, sorry!
I added a few sprinkles to the white chocolate strawberries because…well, blush and gold sprinkles! 🙂
It was so fun spending time with friends and feeling like an adult at tea time!
I highly recommend a Galetine’s tea, or a tea party for any holiday! A friend of mine does it with her friends and daughters every Mother’s Day – that is a fun idea, too!
