Personalized Frame

I had a hard time finding a gift for my godson’s baptism. They tend to be a little chachskis, so I ended up doing a #makeityourownDIY personalized frame.

I started with a frame from Hobby Lobby, and I used some wooden letters and stamps I already had.

I didn’t plan for his name to fit perfectly, but I was happy it did!

Then I did a little painting and sanding.

I sanded it a little to give it a distressed look and then did a thin layer of paint over it.

And painted the letters. I used some water to get more of a lime wash look.

The stamping was the trickiest part…soaking it in the stamp pad, then getting it centered and in the right spot. The good news is, if you mess up, you can wipe it off and start over. I sealed it with some mod podge – you just have to make sure it’s totally dry.
