I bought this plant stand for $12.99 at Ross in 1999. I had just graduated from college and needed a side table, but hadn’t landed my big job yet, so plant stand had to do. And then for whatever reason, I saved it and used it for random things until now. And then Baby Girl needed a side table, so…
But it needed a makeover so my sister (because I was pregnant) spray painted the rod iron white and then I used the wall paint from Baby Girl’s nursery on the top. It was a little boring just pink so I decided to throw on a stencil with white craft paint. I put a couple coats of sealant on and it was new and improved!
The key to stenciling is using a sponge brush and blotting the paint off as much as possible before applying it to the surface so it doesn’t run.
This was such an easy update. I have big plans for some stenciling when Baby Girl needs a dresser!

Looking good! I love that it was purchased in the 90s!
